Located in Redmond WA, Systimmune Inc. is a bio-pharmaceutical company focused on the treatment of cancer through developing novel therapeutic multi-specific antibodies, as well as antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). Our objective is to create biologics that work through systematic intervention on the solid tumor micro-environment, to either directly attack the tumor and/or to activate the immune system to attack the tumor.

Summary: SystImmune seeks a Scientist/Sr. Scientist in Cell Science Development with a strong background in mammalian cell culture and protein expression. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have direct experience with methods and processes designed in bioreactor to support early-stage upstream cGMP manufacturing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Independently design and execute protocols for scalable stable expression of recombinant proteins in CHO cells

  • Use statistical design of experiments approaches to optimize protein production using re-usable bioreactor (3L or 15L); perform bioreactor activities such as inoculation, feeding, sampling, and harvesting

  • Perform upstream duties, including but not limited to media preparation, cell culture analyzer operation and maintenance, bioreactor assembly and cleaning

  • Support the cell line development (CLD) team through participation in vector cloning, stable transfection, minipool selection, single cell cloning, expansion, and characterization of CHO cells for recombinant protein production

  • Prepare SOP and maintain lab instruments for upstream processing
