About the position

SystImmune, is a fast-growing antibody therapeutics company located in Redmond, Washington, and we are seeking a highly-motivated scientist to support our antibody discovery and engineering efforts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and experience with early-stage drug discovery as it pertains to antibodies and antibody-based biotherapeutics, especially multi-specific and ADC platforms. The candidate must show a meticulous level of detail with the ability to generate timely results with a high degree of accuracy and reproducibility. Priorities will revolve around timeline driven assessment of new therapeutic targets, reagent proteins and proof-of-concept molecules.

This role is with the antibody discovery group. Systimmune has developed a unique, efficient and extremely powerful antibody discovery platform. This position would involve learning how to operate this platform and requires an intelligent individual who is enthusiastic about generating antibodies for the treatment of disease. An ideal candidate will have a strong background in immunology, assay development, therapeutic antibodies and ideally Oncology. Although this group is primarily focused on antibody discovery it will also carry some early stage drug development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Skilled in Immunological assay design
  • Strong understanding of immunology
  • Experience screening antibody for function
  • Using robotics for high throughput assay
  • Passion for discovery using in vitro high-throughput screening


Education and Experience
  • PhD; MS; BS in Immunology, Biology, Biochemistry or a related field with 5+ years (PhD); 10+ years (MS); 12+ years (BS) of relevant academic and/or pharmaceutical or biotech experience
  • Build and execute immunologically relevant assays
  • Strong background in immunology is required
  • Experience working with therapeutic antibodies is highly desirable
  • Experience with Flow cytometry and ELISA is required
  • Experience with Octet is desired
  • Experience with high throughput assays would is highly desired
  • Attune and mindset of leveraging robotic assistance in assay design and execution
  • Enjoy learning the Sy3200 Sony cells sorter
