Research Associate/Senior Research Associate - Cell Science

Located in Redmond WA, Systimmune Inc.is a bio-pharmaceutical company focused on the treatment of cancer through developing novel therapeutic multi-specific antibodies, as well as antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). Our objective is to create biologics that work through systematic intervention on the solid tumor micro-environment, to either directly attack the tumor and/or to activate the immune system to attack the tumor.

We are seeking a Research Associate / Senior Research Associate with experience in cell culture and plasmid preparation to join our Cell Science Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Perform mammalian cell culture following sterile techniques
• Perform expression vector construction, plasmid preparation and NGS sequencing.
• Contribute to daily laboratory maintenance, such as ordering reagents, maintaining equipment and preparing media
• Perform rigorous data analysis using common software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office suite)
• Author SOP’s, reports and slides summarizing data and interpreting experimental results
• Provide consistent updates and present data at team meetings
  
• Collaborate with other departments
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or a related science major
• 1+ year experience in mammalian cell culture
• 1+ year experience in molecular biology techniques, including plasmid construction and DNA isolation
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment and deliver complex objectives under tight deadlines
• Availability of working weekend and holiday shifts as needed

• This role will involve working in a cell culture laboratory alongside other scientists, as well as in a standard business office with desktop equipment and a moderate noise level.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods. The individual must also be able to operate standard laboratory and office equipment.

The hiring pay range for this position is $60,000 - $85,000 per year based on skills, education, and experience relevant to the role.
