Accounting Manager
Redmond, WA
Located in Redmond WA, SystImmune Inc. is a bio-pharmaceutical company focused on the treatment of cancer through developing novel therapeutic bi-specific, and tri-specific antibodies, as well as antibody-drug conjugates (ADC's). Our objective is to create biologics that work through systematic intervention on the solid tumor micro-environment, to either directly attack the tumor and/or to activate the immune system to attack the tumor.
Major responsibilities:
- Oversee the general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, general ledger, and account reconciliations.
- Manage the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring alignment with GAAP and current financial legislation.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate with external auditors for half-year and year-end financial audits.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls, preparing and recommending accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by keeping up-to-date with legislation.
- Support all areas of operations as requested by management, with the flexibility to adapt responsibilities based on the individual's skills and professional development interests.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years or more of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance, with experience in both fields preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or other equivalent certifications highly preferred.
- Previous experience with a Big Four accounting firm highly valued, indicating a strong background in accounting practices and standards.
- Understanding of US tax regulations, particularly in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
- Bilingual abilities in English and Mandarin are highly advantageous, facilitating close collaboration with our parent company's finance department.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

The hiring pay range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year based on skills, education, and experience relevant to the role.
