Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Tax manager to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various tax projects and ensuring the accurate and timely filing of the company’s tax returns. Your expertise will be instrumental in navigating the complexities of tax regulations and contributing to the financial efficiency of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning: Implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position globally. Provide guidance on tax implications of international business activities and transactions.
Familiarize with transfer pricing tax implications: familiarize with partnership tax implementation and tax implications related to transfer pricing.
Tax Project Management: Oversee and manage a range of tax-related projects, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Tax Return Preparation: Assisted and review federal, state, and local tax returns for the company. Familiar with R&D credits studies and corresponding calculations. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all filings.
Assist with non-US tax compliance process: Assist with foreign VAT and indirect tax filings.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on company operations. Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulatory requirements.
Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze financial data related to taxes, prepare reports, and provide insights to senior management regarding tax implications of various corporate strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Accounting and Legal, to ensure cohesive tax strategies and compliance across the organization.
Audit Support: Provide support during tax audits, including preparing responses and documentation for auditors.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate tax risks. Monitor changes in international tax laws and adapt strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree or CPA is preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax of public accounting firm, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues clearly to non-experts.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
Perform other duties as needed.

The hiring pay range for this position is $105,000 - $149,000 per year based on skills, education, and experience relevant to the role.
