Research Associate - Protein Engineering

About the position

Located in Redmond WA, Systimmune Inc. is a bio-pharmaceutical company focused on the treatment of cancer through developing novel therapeutic multi-specific antibodies, as well as antibody-drug conjugates (ADC's). Our objective is to create biologics that work through systematic intervention on the solid tumor micro-environment, to either directly attack the tumor and/or to activate the immune system to attack the tumor.

We are seeking a Research Associate with experience in protein analytics, analytical assays, and protein characterization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform protein analytics such as HPLC, UPLC, SEC-MALS, biolayer interferometry, dynamic light scattering, static light scattering, and differential scanning fluorimetry.
• Perform duties in characterization of protein constructs.
• Experience with protein purification is beneficial, but not required.
• Participate in reagent generation, candidate optimization, selection, and validation.
• Performs initial analysis of experimental data and interprets immediate experimental outcomes and/or conclusions within established protocols.
• Write and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for regulatory filing, laboratory duties, experiment design, data analysis, instruction operation, and maintenance.
• Support and closely work with other divisions to advance company goals.
• Experience with stability platforms such as NanoTemper’s Prometheus Panta or Unchained Lab’s UNcle is beneficial, but not required.

Education & Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of bench industry experience in protein analytics or Master’s degree in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or other life science disciplines.

The hiring pay range for this position is $55,000 - $70,000 per year based on skills, education, and experience relevant to the role.
